3:30ish - Waiting for the bus I realize I should be drawing... A father on the bus reading a Garfield collection.

By the time I drew this, I was at the Jolly Alderman. The woman from the street has now become Manien, more or less. I wasn't sure how obvious it would be that the two of them were supposed to be on drugs of some sort. It isn't particularly crucial to the scene, but that was my intention. Here are some pictures I took on the way to the Alderman.

This is a building across from the bus stop downtown. Though I realized I should have been drawing as I waited, I worried I would miss my bus.

I was enjoying this sketchy character hanging around a semi.

Buildings crossing the Cambie Bridge.
It was actually a much nicer day than it appears in my photos. Down right summery!

I saw a father on the bus with his child sleeping on the seat beside against him. He was reading a Garfield Collection. And not only was he reading it, but he was laughing visibly as he read it.
