home board email I ran into Weatherwise on the way to the Alderman, and so we walked there and had some beer and chatted. I poked away at my comics as we talked. He had interesting things to say about dress, and we discussed the implications of modern mens fashion. He is heading to Toronto next month to go to the Toronto Comic Arts Festival, where he is speaking as one of 'our leading comic scholars' on a panel about the state of comics scholarship. I kept getting him to remind me of this designation as one of 'our leading comic scholars' all night, because I thought it was funny, and could never quite remember the phrase. Again here, I wasn't sure how clear it would be that the guy was on drugs [again]. Though these were supposed to be more speedy drugs rather than hallucinogenic. And again... it doesn't particularly matter. I was happy with the glowing elf in the last panel. |
